Hurricane Cleanup Equipment Rental
Updated October 9, 2026
For storm cleanup in South Florida, rent a wood chipper for downed branches, a skid steer or track loader to move debris to the curb, and a stump grinder for fallen trees. Our prices do not change after a storm: the chipper is $275 a day and a track loader is $400.
What to rent for each part of the cleanup

Book before the storm, not after
Atlantic hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30. After a storm hits, every chipper and loader in the county is booked within a day. We run one of each machine, so the customers who text first get them.
- When a storm is forecast: text us your address and the machine you want. We confirm what is open after the storm passes and roads are clear.
- Our prices stay the same. No storm surcharge. The only extra is the $75 same day fee if you want it that afternoon.
Curbside debris rules
After a declared storm, Palm Beach, Broward and Miami Dade counties and most cities run separate debris pickups. Keep vegetative debris (branches, leaves, logs) in a different pile from construction debris (fencing, drywall, roofing). Do not stack debris on water meters, storm drains or fire hydrants, or under power lines. Check your city's storm page for pickup dates and pile limits. Chipping branches on site shrinks a curb pile to a fraction of its size, or gives you mulch to keep.
Safety around storm debris
- Treat every downed line as live. Call FPL and keep machines well clear.
- Trees under tension (bent, pinned or hung up) can spring when cut. Leave those to a tree service.
- Wet sand and muck swallow wheeled machines. Use a track loader on soft ground.
Questions, answered
Do you raise prices after a hurricane?
No. Our rates are published and the text line quotes the same price before and after a storm.
What size branches can the chipper take?
Up to 12 inches in diameter on the Vermeer BC1000XL.
Can I reserve equipment before a hurricane?
Text us your address and the machine. We confirm the booking once the storm has passed and roads are safe to deliver.
Skid steer or track loader for storm cleanup?
Skid steer on driveways and pavement. Track loader on wet lawns, sand and muck, where wheels sink.
